FRONT ROYAL — The Warren County Board of Supervisors delayed a vote on a new library services contract Tuesday night.
The proposed 10-year contract with Library Systems & Services, for $1.024 million annually over the first few years, was pulled from the supervisors’ consent agenda for discussion before the board voted unanimously to send it back to the Warren County Library Board for further review.
Saying the proposed contract “needs work,” Shenandoah District Supervisor John Stanmeyer made the motion to delay its approval. The motion passed without further discussion.
The proposed contract does not identify where library services will be offered or when LS&S would begin to provide them. It includes a withdrawal clause that would cost the county $250,000 if the contract is terminated
