PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) - The four rough-toothed dolphins that once inhabited Gulf World Marine Park are no longer there.
Many concerned members of the community may be happy to hear they arrived safely at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium sometime Wednesday morning.
Local State Attorney Larry Basford confirmed their arrival to News 13 Wednesday.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium Director of Media Relations Marsha Strickhouser also confirmed the move and shed more details.
The four female rough-toothed dolphins have been identified as Doris, Kitana, Dagny, and Wren. They are estimated to be 28, 18 10, and 5 years of age.
Strickhouser said Clearwater Marine Aquarium worked collaboratively with Gulf World Marine Park to transfer the dolphins.
