MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department has secured an arrest and issued a warrant in connection with a robbery attempt that sent a man and young boy to the trauma center last week.

Tariq Robinson, 21, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, attempted especially aggravated robbery, and two counts of employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Robinson is currently being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $300,000 bond. His next court appearance is Thursday morning.

A warrant has been issued for Kevon Chapman, 18, charging him with the same counts.

According to MPD, the crime occurred outside the Circle K at 6193 Mount Moriah Road on the night of Thursday, May 29.
