SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - After multiple days of widespread heavy downpours, the rest of the week promises to be drier and sunnier. The low-pressure systems that have been giving us this rain will start to move away to the northeast tonight. They will still be close enough to give us some showers and storms overnight tonight, but by Thursday morning the threat for widespread rainfall will have passed. As the day progresses, upper-level moisture will decrease considerably, but there will still be enough to allow for a few scattered storms in the afternoon, primarily inland.
