The Columbia Fire Department responded to multiple calls regarding trapped vehicles in floodwaters on Tuesday.

At around 6 p.m., crews were dispatched to Paris Road and Vandiver Drive regarding stranded vehicles in floodwater. After the Fire Department intervened at the scene, they cleared it about 20 minutes later. All people involved were rescued from the scene, according to a news release.

Later, just after 11 p.m., firefighters responded to another water rescue scene on South Rolling Hills Road and Sugar Grove Road. Crews responded within eight minutes and rescued the person in the vehicle. The scene was cleared a little bit before midnight, the Fire Department said.

No injuries have been reported.
