A federal judge in Colorado has blocked the deportation of the family of the suspect in the Boulder, Colo., attack.

The order came just as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced it was preparing to deport Mohamed Soliman's wife and five children.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem said Tuesday that the family had been detained in connection with the investigation, saying they would face questioning over whether they had any knowledge of the attack.

According to a DHS statement Wednesday, ICE was said to be “processing them for removal.”

But Judge Gordon P. Gallagher ruled that Soliman's wife and children not be removed from the U.S. and scheduled a hearing on the matter on June 13 that asks all parties to appear.
