DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A former athletic director for a Dauphin County school district was charged Wednesday after being accused of stealing money from sporting event ticket sales.
Charging documents show, Andrew Kuhn, 34, of Red Lion, allegedly admitted to taking $15,842 that he was supposed to deposit into Susquehanna Township School District's bank account.
Kuhn was the athletic director for the district from Sept. 23, 2023, to Oct. 18, 2024, according to the criminal complaint. Part of Kuhn's role as athletic director was to collect, count, and deposit cash from sporting events into the school's bank account.
After an audit, police were contacted on Nov. 25 by district officials. Police said the audit showed the money the district made from 2024 sporting events was much lower
