HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The start of summer means a lot of great things, but also, too often, one bad thing.
Unstructured time while parents work leaves kids vulnerable to getting hurt, or worse. Harrisburg's "Group Violence Intervention" folks were at Foose Elementary to teach kids at a young age that you're not "tattling" when you tell a responsible adult about something dangerous.

"We're trying to erase that myth of snitches get stitches versus when you see something, say something," said Angelo Craig, the Harrisburg GVI's Program Manager. "We're just trying to get them prepared so they can be safe and protected during the summer."
