New Florence police and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office found a body in a vacant building Tuesday evening, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said it responded to assist the New Florence Police Department in the 400 block of Booneslick Road, where two individuals reported finding a deceased person inside a vacant building.

Law enforcement were initially dispatched to the area just before 8 p.m. for a 911 hang-up call, according to the sheriff's office.

Law enforcement was directed to the vacant building upon investigation at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
