Duane Sanders was a first grade teacher at Wallace A. Smith Elementary when he was arrested by Bradley County Police in March of 2023.

Sanders is accused of sexually assaulting at least 9 male students and faces 15 criminal charges including aggravated rape of a child, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and aggravated sexual battery.
