Bay Area city Fremont named best place to raise a family in nation

For two years in a row, Fremont, California, has been named the best place in the United States to raise a family by WalletHub .

Due largely to "economic factors," the tech hub boasts one of the highest median family incomes at close to $130,000 after adjusting for the cost of living.

Of the more than 180 U.S. cities reviewed for the study, Fremont has the third-lowest share of families living in poverty as well as the third-lowest share receiving food stamps.

Located in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area, Fremont is home to about 750 high-tech companies, including Tesla Motors, the city's largest manufacturer and employer.
