Construction of a tiny home development to help people who are homeless advanced another step after the Joplin City Council on Monday night approved the site plan for the project.
City planner Tyler Bellairs told the council that the site plan envisions the footprint of the future Vita Nova Village, 1201 S. Byers Ave. Plans call for the installation of 16 proposed tiny homes, which will be manufactured housing. The project was conceived by several people working with local resident Rhonda Thompson to raise funds for a place that could help people get back on their feet toward a stable lifestyle. ×
