LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A woman turned herself in after a victim succumbed to his injuries following a battery in North Las Vegas Tuesday night. Police said she now faces a charge of open murder.

On Tuesday, June 3, officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a report of a battery at a residence in the 2200 block of Glastonbury Thorn Street near West Carey Avenue and North MLK Boulevard.

Police said the shooting happened shortly after 10:20 p.m.

Officers found a victim suffering from injuries as a result of a battery. Medical personnel took the victim to a nearby hospital, where the next morning, he succumbed to his injuries, and hospital staff pronounced him dead.
