GAZA STRIP (TNND) — The BBC on Wednesday rejected the White House’s claims it failed to verify statistics from a health ministry Hamas runs and that the broadcaster removed an article from its website on the war in Gaza.

The BBC published an article this past week on an incident in Gaza in which multiple entities reported deaths. A current story on the broadcaster’s website is titled, “Red Cross says at least 21 killed and dozens shot in Gaza aid incident.” Previous headlines for the article reported different statistics, the BBC said, explaining it updated the article with new figures in “totally normal practice on any fast-moving news story.”
