BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: We are seeing a big increase in scattered showers and storms as tropical moisture flows in from the east. Stay alert for a passing storm and keep an eye to the east as the wet weather will be moving in a westerly direction. The showers will diminish tonight, with lows near 70º. The rain coverage will lessen on Thursday, although a few isolated showers may develop. However, there will be plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Highs will reach the middle to upper 80s.
