FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Fresno Police Department is asking the public for information regarding two people who were seen running from a shooting on Halloween in 2023 that killed 18-year-old Ethan Vang.

On Oct. 31, 2023, at around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of San Jose Avenue and Sherman Avenue regarding a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Vang near the roadway with a gunshot wound. A 24-year-old was also found with a graze wound to his head.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, but Vang's condition worsened during transport. Officers say Vang later died at the hospital. The second victim was later discharged.
