DES MOINES, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa Capitol Bureau) - For the second time this week, an Iowan has launched a campaign for governor. Tuesday, it was longtime Democratic staffer Julie Stauch of West Des Moines. Wednesday, it’s Republican State Representative Eddie Andrews of Johnston.
On the steps outside of the Iowa Statehouse Wednesday, Andrews launched his campaign for governor surrounded by friends and supporters.
Conservative podcaster Oliver Bardwell said, “You know, it’s not hard to win for a Republican in a red district, but Eddie wins in one of the toughest districts in Iowa over and over and over again.”
