Franco Aguiniga, 35, of Lompoc was arrested Tuesday afternoon on felony domestic violence charges after a two-hour standoff in which the suspect barricaded himself in an apartment and refused to come out.
Lompoc Police responded to a Code 3 at an apartment complex located at 416 W. North Ave., based on an initial report of a domestic dispute that involved a woman yelling for help and a man who had threatened he was armed, according to Police.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the man, who had an active no-bail warrant for his arrest, had fled into apartment No. 87, where it was believed he might be armed, according to police.
Additional officers and detectives arrived to assist including SWAT, crisis negotiation teams and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiation Te
