I-24 Car Hauler Fire / Haletown Volunteer Fire Department via Facebook
MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Fire crews were called to the scene of a semi-truck fire on I-24 Westbound Wednesday morning.
The truck was hauling nine cars when the fire broke out around 11:13 a.m. near mile marker 166.
No one was hurt in the incident, and five of the nine vehicles were saved from the flames.
Firefighters from the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department responded, with help from Jasper Highlands, Jasper Fire Department, and Dade County units.
All crews cleared the scene and returned to service by 1:00 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
