LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Wednesday evening, people from across Little Rock and further descended on War Memorial Park for a ‘fun run’ aimed at raising money for the city’s parks.

Runners — or walkers — paid $25 to take part in a laid-back three-mile run across the park’s trail system, with all proceeds going towards Little Rock Parks and Recreation.

The event was put on by Fleet Feet, with owner Noelle Coughlan saying donating the proceeds was the least they could do.

“As runners and walkers and cyclists, we all use Little Rock’s parks,” Coughlan said, “And I think we're kind of spoiled, because the parks here in Little Rock are so awesome and pretty well maintained… If we can give back and maybe help keep them maintained at a higher level, that would be great.”
