STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Two people were detained after an incident at a Stafford County Wawa early Tuesday morning.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said that a deputy was in the area of the Wawa at 105 Garrisonville Rd. around 4:30 a.m. when they saw a car back into a crane.

The deputy made contact with two people inside the car and saw "damages to the inside of the vehicle consistent with someone stealing it." The deputy detained both individuals inside, including a minor.

Officials contacted the car's owner, who confirmed that the car had been stolen from Maryland.

The driver is facing charges of possession of stolen goods, driving without a license, destruction of property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
