A man accused of multiple child sex crimes has been extradited back to Arizona to face charges, according to a news release from the Chandler Police Department.

The suspect, Ciro Soberanes Moedano, fled the state while a police investigation was taking place in 2016.

With the help of the U.S. Marshals Service, Soberanes Moedano was located in Mexico and returned to Chandler, according to the press release.

His charges include child molestation and sexual abuse. Prosecution will be handled by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
