PENNSAUKEN — Isabella Frattura didn’t think this was how her senior season would end. At least, not back at the beginning.

Frattura, a Sparta senior, was feeling the pressure of being the reigning NJSIAA Meet of Champions javelin winner . It took her about a month to remember, “Pressure is a privilege. With everyone’s eyes on you, it all comes down to how you handle the pressure.”

Frattura had a sticker with “Jeremiah 29:11” on her javelin and wrote the same words on the inside of her wrist, to remind herself that God has a bigger plan for her. On the back of the same hand, she wrote “underdog.”

Frattura handled the pressure quite well in her return trip to the MOC on June 4. Not only did Frattura defend her title, she re-broke the Sussex County record with a 150-3 on her final throw.
