Danny Boyle is confirming that Cillian Murphy will be in the upcoming 28 Years Later sequel.

Cillian played Jim in 28 Days Later in 2002 but was absent from its 2007 sequel. This left fans wondering if he would be reprising his role for 2025′s 28 Years Later .

Even though it was revealed he wouldn’t be part of the movie, Danny revealed in an interview with IGN that the 49-year-old actor hasn’t left the horror franchise for good.

28 Years Later will be hitting theaters on June 20 and will be the start of a new trilogy of horror movies in the same universe. According to Danny , Cillian will be appearing in the upcoming sequel, The Bone Temple .
