A drug trafficking complaint that started in Roseville led a Macomb County drug task force to arrest a convicted felon and confiscate a host of illegal drugs and weapons on Wednesday.
The County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) executed two search warrants in Detroit and arrested a suspect, who has a previous conviction for second-degree murder, authorities said on X (formerly Twitter).
“In total, detectives seized 72 grams of fentanyl, nine grams of crack cocaine, an amount of methamphetamine, three guns, a Taser, and body armor,” COMET officials said in the X post.
An undisclosed amount of cash was also seized.
The suspect is being held at the Detroit Detention Center pending arraignment.
Michigan State Police said the investigations are ongoing.
