BOSTON —
A Boston woman was sentenced to up to 14 years in prison in connection with a 2023 stabbing that left one woman dead and a teenager with serious injuries, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced Wednesday.
Wilmary Mejia Matos, 18, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of Brianna Brown, 21, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury in the stabbing of a Boston 17-year-old.
The stabbings occurred on Feb. 11, 2023, in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
