UPDATE: The attorney for former Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy has been disbarred from practicing law in Tennessee.

According to court documents, Alan Christopher Norton forged a chancellor's signature on three court orders, along with forging the name of a Tennessee attorney on a fake notion and the deposition transcript he provided to his client.

This will go into effect June 4, 2025.

Alan Norton was indicted on December 2, by a grand jury in Rhea County on forgery and criminal simulation charges.
