President Donald Trump is preventing foreigners from entering the United States to study at Harvard University, according to an executive order announced Wednesday night.

"Harvard University is no longer a trustworthy steward of international student and exchange visitor programs," the order says.

NBC10 Boston is reaching out to Harvard for comment.

The announcement came as the president announced a new travel ban on whole countries .

It's the latest salvo in the battle between the Trump administration and Harvard, including over the school's ability to host international students.
