WASHINGTON (KUMV) - The Congressional Budget Office estimates the Big, Beautiful Bill will cut taxes by trillions. It also says it would increase the deficit and take away health insurance for millions.

Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., says the bill will be the topic of discussion in Washington this month.

Daines says they need to pass the bill to prevent a nearly $4 trillion tax hike and provide certainty to small business owners.

“This new bill we’re going to pass would make this all permanent. That way, you don’t have the uncertainty of Washington D.C. with a looming massive tax increase hanging over the heads of our businesses across Montana,” said Daines.
