DAYTON (WKRC) - Moeller was the heavy favorite in Region 3 to win the bracket and advance to the Final Four, but the Crusaders ran into a dominant pitching rotation in Lakota West and the Firebirds defeated Moeller 3-2 to advance to the Final Four for the first time since 2017.
The region champs claim their title thanks to a couple of dominant games on the mound. A 1-0 over Olentangy Liberty on Tuesday, only allowing just three hits, and followed up that performance on Wednesday against Moeller by only giving up two hits and two runs.
