LIVE OAK, Texas — A quiet morning in Live Oak was shattered by gunfire early Wednesday morning, as police are now investigating the city’s second homicide in less than a month.
The deadly shooting happened just before 7:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of Ashby Point, near O’Connor Rd.
When officers arrived, they found a person shot and killed outside the residence, according to Live Oak Police Chief Michael Fratus.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Albert Devon Tae Roy.
Fratus said preliminary evidence shows the violence appears to be targeted.
"It appears this was not something that was random," Fratus said. "But at this point, we’re following up on any leads."
