COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A major transformation is underway at a long-standing affordable housing complex in Columbus. Renovations have begun on the first phase of the Warren Williams Homes project, bringing long-awaited upgrades to the community.
Residents say the improvements are overdue. “And we’re going to be glad once they get through with them because everybody is always asking, ‘Mrs. Flo, is they going to tear these down?’ No. ‘Mrs. Flo, what they gonna do?’ I say just wait and see,” said Mrs. Flora Johnson, who has lived in the complex for over 40 years.
