SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Texas Association of Broadcasters awarded KLST and KSAN with this year’s Bonner McLane Public Service Award for Small Television.

This award recognizes KLST/KSAN’s commitment to serving the San Angelo community through local programming, public service initiatives, and community engagement.

“The people of San Angelo are fortunate to have the benefit of your team’s focus on advancing your community by keeping them well informed of developments important to their well-being,” said Oscar Rodriguez, President of the Texas Association of Broadcasters.

KLST/KSAN won the award based on the outlets' Founder's Day project from 2024, where members of both stations built and constructed 26 beds for the nonprofit Sleep in Heavenly Peace for children
