LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The weather pattern is becoming more active as we wrap up the work week.

Scattered shower and thunderstorm chances are in the forecast as we move through Friday afternoon and evening.

A few strong storms are possible so the storm prediction center has our area under a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather.

Main threats are damaging winds, heavy rain and hail.

Tornado chances are low but not zero.

As far as timing, we'll watch for a few storms in the early afternoon then another wave of storms during the evening.
