A sheriff's department truck was carjacked in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday morning, authorities said.
A possible stolen vehicle was reported to police at 5:03 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Spring and Temple streets, according to Officer Kevin Terzes of the Los Angeles Police Department.
He said the vehicle was a sheriff's department truck, but gave no further description. No suspect description was immediately available.
Terzes said a carjacking report was taken and that the vehicle and suspect remain outstanding.
Two people who were in the truck jumped out as it was moving, according to a broadcast report.
