RED BLUFF, Calif. - A man has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for a deadly crash on Highway 99 that killed a woman, her unborn child, and injured another person near Vina.

According to the Tehama County District Attorney's Office, Andre Tucker pled guilty to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence for the deadly crash on Highway 99 on October 15, 2024.

Tehama County District Attorney Matt Rogers emphasized that while no sentence can restore the lost lives of Ruth Kibbe and her unborn child, the prison term aims to offer solace to the victims' families and safeguard the public.

"This sentence should also serve as a reminder of the responsibility we all have to be safe drivers and not engage in the outrageous driving that Tucker exhibited, which cause these deaths,"
