KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - After a week-long search, an escaped inmate who had been considered armed and dangerous is now back in custody in Kansas City.

The Kansas Department of Corrections announced on Wednesday night, June 4, that escaped inmate Anthony Mansfield, 36, has been taken back into custody by U.S. Marshals. He was found in Kansas City, Missouri.

Law enforcement officials noted that Mansfield was arrested without incident after he was placed on escape status when he neither clocked into his job nor came back to the facility while out on work release on Wednesday, May 28.
