SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - An arrest warrant has been issued for an individual who severely injured a man at a gas station in south Shreveport, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.
The incident took place just after 8 PM on May 28, 2025, at a gas station located in the 1400 block of Hollywood Avenue. The entire event was captured on surveillance video.
In the footage, a white male, later identified as 33-year-old Johnathan B. Melton, stood in the victim’s blind spot and punched him in the face, causing serious facial injuries.
Investigator Matthew Purgerson has obtained an arrest warrant for Melton on charges of second-degree battery after the preliminary investigation of the incident.
