CHEYENNE — With the help of a local man, police apprehended two 15-year-old boys suspected of being responsible for stealing a Jeep from Planet Fitness on Tuesday.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., Cheyenne Police officers received a report that a vehicle was stolen from Planet Fitness, located in Frontier Mall at 1400 Dell Range Blvd., according to a news release.

The two teenage suspects took the vehicle’s keys from a gym locker room and then used them to steal a white 2015 Jeep from the parking lot. The victim immediately reported the theft to the police and turned to Facebook to ask the broader Cheyenne community for help.

After seeing the stolen vehicle, a local man, who had seen the victim’s Facebook post, followed the car through town and contacted police.
