PALMER LAKE, Colo. (KKTV) - On Wednesday night, the Town of Palmer Lake Mayor Glant Havenar has confirmed she is stepping down.

Havenar has not given a reason for her resignation. Her resignation takes effect Thursday.

Havenar was re-elected mayor in 2024 and was serving her second term as mayor. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pikes Peak Area Council of Government and El Paso County Board of Health.

She previously served two terms as a Trustee.

In recent months, the Town of Palmer Lake has been the center of discussion over the potential development of a Buc-ee’s.
