When the West Virginia Black Bears’ Koby Kropf scored for the second time in the top of the sixth inning — after Frederick Keys right-hander Valek Cisneros couldn’t barehand a comebacker — the right field scoreboard at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium couldn’t show it.

Instead, the inning-by-inning score sheepishly flipped back to “0” for the frame. In reality, West Virginia had scored 10 runs, beyond the board’s single-digit limitations.
