CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two suspects have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in northeast Charlotte last month.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced Wednesday that Keion Depina Brown, 20, and a 17-year-old juvenile male were arrested Monday in the death of Kamorrie Prather.

Both suspects face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in Prather's death, which occurred May 3 at the intersection of Frew Road and Drury Drive .

Police responded to what was initially reported as a crash around 11 a.m. but later determined to be a shooting. Officers found Prather suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
