EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It was a big weekend for the Central Bears last weekend, as the captured the sectional title at Braun Stadium with a win over Memorial.
Despite going 0-2 against Memorial in the regular season, Central got the job done with their 4-1 win. Now if they had to dial the clock back to the beginning of the season, Central likely would not have been a popular pick to take sectional 32. And yet, here they are, off of a stellar performance by Senior Jaxton Reeder on the mound, they’ve taken the crown. All along, Reeder said it was up to them to keep that belief.
“I think it was when we were 0-7, it started off rough, and all the coaches still believed in us, and we all started believing and just working hard at practice and pushing through, we ended up winning it,” said
