EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - As we are set to begin the Kentucky State Softball tournament on Thursday, both Henderson County and Daviess County squads held a sendoff as their communities wished them well on their journey to Lexington.

For the Lady Colonels, their journey will start in a place of familiarity. Their round one matchup pits them up against North Laurel, the team that they defeated in last year’s state championship game, that brought the Lady Colonel Softball Program it’s first ever state title.
