LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man appeared in court Wednesday on charges that he sexually abused a 6-year-old girl.

Justin Koder, 28, is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child and third-degree sexual assault of a child, among other crimes.

At his arraignment, Lancaster County Judge Laurie Yardley sent his bond at $2 million. He would need to pay 10% of that — $200,000 — to be released from jail.

In December, the girl reported that Koder had raped her numerous times, according to police.

Court documents say investigators collected DNA evidence of a sexual assault at Koder’s home.

An arrest warrant was issued for Koder on May 15, and he was taken into custody the next day in Texas.

He was extradited to Nebraska and placed in the Lancaster County Jail on Tuesday.
