TOLEDO, Ohio — Business magazine Fortune released its 2025 list of the biggest U.S.-based companies this week, ranked by last fiscal year's revenue.
Five companies in northwest Ohio broke the $7.4 billion revenue threshold to be included on the list, while a sixth fell just $900 million short.
29. Marathon Petroleum - $140.4 billion
This Findlay-based petroleum refining company saw a slight drop from the 2024 list's ranking — a 6.6% decrease in revenue took it down by five spots. But as far as northwest Ohio goes, it is by far the richest company in the region by more than $100 billion.
378. The Andersons - $11.6 billion
Founded and headquartered in Maumee, this agriculture conglomerate took a tumble from last year, as its revenue fell by 23.7% and it dropped 93 spots down the list.
