Frederick (Fritz) Karl Kolb was born in Calumet on Sept. 7, 1946, and passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in Hancock.
Fritz was born and raised by parents Frederick and Lucille (Plekenpol) Kolb.
He was joined in marriage to his wife Kathy (Hendrickson) in December 1981. They raised their two daughters in Calumet.
Fritz was a gentleman with a caring nature who lived a simple life. He enjoyed tinkering on old cars, hunting in the fall, and his time spent at his camp in Bootjack.
Fritz worked for many years at UPPCO. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and especially in his last days he was given strength of faith and was waiting to reach his heavenly home.
