CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- A Virginia State Trooper is facing a felony charge after a woman says she found threatening notes taped to her front door in November of last year.

According to court records, Logan Pingley has been charged with one count of extortion in writing. The victim, who has chosen not to be publicly identified, found two alarming messages left on her door in November, her attorney said.
