Philotemo. The Greek word means love, honor, pride and a strong desire to help others. All of that came together Wednesday morning during a ribbon cutting for Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church’s 39th annual Greek Fest. During the ceremony, organizers presented a $2,000 donation to the Aim Women’s Center. Accepting the donation was the center’s director, Rebekah Cohen Morris, who said the donation will support efforts to renovate a Steubenville house to serve as the Mother of Mercy Home, a home for expectant mothers in need. Featuring authentic Greek food, which may be eaten at an outdoor pavilion or ordered to go; live music and assorted vendors, the festival will continue from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the kitchen closing at 8 p.m. — Warren Scottm.
