BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football is receiving an improved response on the recruiting trail in the wake of the program’s first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
“That class last year was put together on promises, hopes and vision,” IU coach Curt Cignetti told reporters at a recent boost event. “This class is being put together on something tangible, what we put out there on the field, the publicity and exposure we received.”
Cignetti said the Hoosiers are having success with a “higher caliber” of player for the 2026 signing class.
Much of the class should be in place by the time the Hoosiers take the field for their season-opener on Aug. 30 against Old Dominion, and there’s a real chance they could have a top 30 class for just the second time in 10 years.
